I am a girly girl and if this blog interests you, you probably are too. I love getting my hair and nails done but I really don't like going to the salon. After seeing my sister and a friend doing cool new manicure styles at home, I decided to start doing my own at home manicures. So to save trips to the salon and money, I recently started my nail polish collection. At first I would just go to any beauty supply or dollar store and pick up the first color that caught my eye. Then I learned ALL NAIL POLISHES ARE NOT CREATED EQUALLY! I learned fast that those cheap brands were just that CHEAP! At first I thought it was me until my sister accidentally left a bottle of her nail polish at my house and when I used it for the first time I fell in love. Unlike professionals, I don't have a steady hand to do the perfect manicure so that's when I learned the brush is extremely important. Brands like Doir, OPI and Essie are great but I feel if I am going to spend that much on nail polish I might as well go and get a professional manicure. Adding a few of those brands to your collection is fine but if you are looking for a less expensive alternative with great results try Wet ‘n Wild’s megalast nail polishes in their new bottles. They have wide brushes which makes it almost fool proof. 2 coats of polish on each nail is all you need for a at home professional look for $1.99 a bottle. Nice! (btw I am in no way paid for this endorsement. This product is something I tried on my own, fell in love with and now am telling you about.)
